Executive Director
Main functions: Sicangu Owayawa Oti seeks a visionary and experienced Executive Director to lead the organization in advancing its mission of serving the Sicangu Oyate. The Executive Director is responsible for overall leadership, strategic direction, program oversight, financial sustainability, and community engagement. This position reports to the Board of Directors and serves as the primary representative and spokesperson for the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, cultural competence, and a deep commitment to community-centered, mission-driven work.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Education Administration, or Guidance required. Five (5) years of experience in administration and/or a Master’s Degree in Education Administration with administrative certification preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, families, and the Board of Directors. Knowledge of youth residential programs and educational environments is desirable.
Employment Requirements: Must be able to pass a drug test and background check. Must have a valid S.D. Driver’s license.

Boys Wing Counselor (Full-Time)
Main Functions: The boys wing counselor will provide professional counseling and guidance services to students in the following areas: academic, social and emotional; and to assist students with personal goal setting. Must be a productive member of the counseling department and facilitate large group counseling sessions.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications: Must have a Bachelors’ degree in a relevant field and possess a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification. Ability to integrate the Lakota culture in counseling sessions is preferred.

Girls Wing PRN/On-Call Home Living Assistant
Main functions: Responsible for the overall supervision, care, safety, health and welfare of the students residing in the dormitory. This position will provide coverage when called upon. Work hours may vary based on "as needed."
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications: Must have an AA in Human Services or Education or have experience in a child care setting and good computer and organizational skills. Must have patience and understanding with children.
